NEW RESIDENTIAL GARBAGE CONTRACT WITH GFL ENVIRONMENTAL
The Village of Morton and GFL Environmental have finalized a new seven (7) year agreement to provide solid waste and recycling services to all single-family dwellings and duplexes within the Village of Morton.
WHAT’S DIFFERENT WITH THIS NEW CONTRACT?
Beginning January 1, 2025, the Village of Morton will begin billing all single-family dwellings and duplexes for basic monthly solid waste and recycling service provided by GFL. This monthly fee will be included on your monthly Morton Utility Bill. Please review the flier below for more information on the billing changes and the services to be provided by GFL. A copy of the flier will also be included in your December Morton Utility Bill.

The Village of Morton’s agreement with GFL makes them the sole and exclusive provider of garbage and recycling services to all single-family dwellings and duplexes within the Village of Morton. If you chose to opt-out of service during the one-time opt-out period (January 1, 2025 – March 31, 2025) and wish to reinstate service, please complete the opt-in form and return it to the Village of Morton along with payment of the required administrative fee of $250.00.
