Invitation to Bid – Ambulance


Sealed bids will be accepted by the Village of Morton up to the hour of 3:00PM on Friday, July 21, 2023, for furnishings of a medium-duty ambulance.

The specifications may be picked up at the Morton Fire Department, 300 W. Courtland St., Morton, IL 61550 or will be e-mailed upon request.  Bidder e-mail contact information is requested so that any specification clarifications can be distributed to all potential bidders.

Bids* must be submitted by US Mail or common carrier to the following address:

*The bids must be sealed and clearly marked “Ambulance Bid”

Bids will be opened at 3:00PM on Monday, July 24, 2023, at the Morton Fire Department.  The Village of Morton reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding process.

Chassis and Chassis related components are based on the most recent information available, as included in the attached Freightliner proposal dated May 10, 2023, but are subject to Freightliner related pre-production manufacturing, specification, data code and option changes that are beyond the purchaser’s control.  Please also note that the Village of Morton is requesting that bidders provide clear and detailed payments options, including, but not limited to, down payment, payment at the time of order, partial payment upon chassis delivery, and payment upon delivery, so that we can asses and make the most financially wise payment decisions for a project that is anticipated to span multiple municipal fiscal years.  This does not need included financing options.
