Invitation to Bid – Water Main Materials
INVITATION TO BID
Village of Morton – Morton, Illinois 61550
The Village of Morton will receive sealed bids for miscellaneous water pipe, valves, fittings, and other accessories, per the attached list, in the office of the Director of Public Works, 120 N. Main Street, Morton, Illinois 61550, until 10:00 A.M. (CST), on Tuesday, March 12th, 2019, at which time they will be opened.
- Only bids that meet the Village of Morton’s “Water Main Material Specifications” will be accepted. A copy of these specifications may be obtained at the Village of Morton Utility Office, 120 N. Main Street, Morton, Illinois. Also available at www.morton-il.gov.
- Alternate material not listed in specifications must meet prior approval of the Superintendent of Water Distribution before bidding.
- Please show the unit price for each line item and include the total for each line item.
- Also, indicate the name of the manufacturer for each item.
The Village may accept pipe one truckload at a time, as we are able to accommodate same. The major portion of the materials listed will be purchased in one transaction; however, the Village reserves right to purchase additional pipe and fittings, in less than quantities specified, at the quoted price.
Price is FOB, Morton, Illinois
The Village of Morton pays bills on the first and third Mondays of each month, provided the invoice has been received and approved at least one week prior to that date. This bid is for the 2019/2020 fiscal year which begins May 1, 2019. The earliest pay period for this transaction will be the second week of May 2019.
The Village of Morton reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding.
