About the Program
On March 20, 2012 the voters in the Village of Morton passed a referendum authorizing the Village to seek lower electricity rates for eligible residential and small commercial retail customers by establishing an ‘opt-out’ electric aggregation program. After a thorough bid process Homefield Energy was chosen as the Village’s electric supplier.
In May 2012 all eligible Morton residents received notification of the ‘opt-out’ program. The Village of Morton is now offering the same discounted rate to residents who are newer to the area and did not receive the original offer.
- There is no enrollment or switching fee.
- Your new price of $0.0408 per kWh is guaranteed until May 2014.
- Your new electricity rate will be lower than the current Ameren default rate
- Price will not change during this term.
