New Waste Collection Contract

The Village of Morton has negotiated a new waste collection contract that provides an extended range of services, and replaces the orange tote bins with roller bins for recycling.  

Cost is $15 monthly for 65-gallon bins, but seniors (age 65) may choose 35-gallon bins at $12 monthly.  Users may stop service at no charge for a minimum of one month and maximum of three months. Stickers may be used for additional containers, but may no longer be used for regular collection. Yard waste continues as is, but with the option of seasonal collection at an additional fee. Detailed information will be in utility bill mailings and in direct mail from the contractor, Grimm Bros. Trucking. The new service begins January 1, 2013.
