Mission Statement

As members of the Morton Fire Department, we are dedicated to improving the quality of life of the community we serve through the protection and preservation of life, property, and the environment.

This is accomplish by providing prevention, education, and emergency support services while seeking and using new technologies to meet the changing needs of the community, and by providing support, training, and encouragement to the individuals in the organization.

Who We Are

The Morton Fire Department operates under the direction of the Fire Chief, Joe Kelley.

There are 12 full-time paramedics, 9 part-time paramedics, 40 paid-on-call firefighters, 1 Fire Prevention Officer, and 1 Administrative Assistant. Full time Paramedics are staffed at both fire stations 24hrs/day.

Firefighters live within the city and are called in using a pager when needed
